• Asharqia Chamber is hosting today the 9th edition of the Open Ministerial Conference

    With the participation of His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment, the Governor of Monshaat and the Chairman of the Chamber, Asharqia Chamber is hosting today the ninth edition of the Open Ministerial Conference in order to discuss trade and investment incentives in the Eastern Region.

     

    On Wednesday, 3 April 2019, Asharqia Chamber in partnership with the Council of Saudi Chambers is organizing the Ninth Open Ministerial Conference at Dhahran International Exhibition Center (Dhahran Expo), as it is going to discuss, "Commercial and Investment Catalysts in the Eastern Region."

     

    The conference has an open dialogue with His Excellency Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid bin Abdullah Al Qasabi, the Governor of the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises Engineer Saleh bin Ibrahim Al Rasheed, the Chairman of the Board of Asharqia Chamber of Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Khalidi, in addition to a wide selection of businessmen and businesswomen in the Eastern Province.

    The conference is part of the Private Sector Stimulus Initiative, which aims to enhance communication between the public and private sectors, which is held to highlight the investment opportunities in the regions and finds ways to strengthen them and support them to serve the process of economic development in the Kingdom.

     

    The conference is expected to present the competitive advantages and investment incentives in the Eastern Region and the challenges that lie ahead.

    As in the past eight editions, the conference seeks to launch catalytic initiatives for private sector development and to address the obstacles and challenges facing the economic sectors in all their specialties and locations.

     

    The Chairman of the Board of Directors of Asharqia Chamber Abdul Hakim bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, said that Asharqia Chamber, through hosting this conference, seeks to be an active presence in the scene supports the national trends, most notably the support of the movement of attracting domestic and foreign investment in various projects and multiple value added to the national economy.

    Al-Khalidi called on businessmen and businesswomen in the Eastern Province to participate in this conference due to its positive elements that contribute to the economic activity in the Eastern region that will give further impetus to the future.

    Al-Khalidi pointed out that the initiative of ministerial conferences has contributed to enhancing communication between the private sector and government agencies through engaging the business sector in government directions, discussing ways to stimulate the private sector, overcoming the challenges facing the various economic sectors, and achieving sustainable development in the regions of the Kingdom.​
